Remote Online Notarization (RON) Policy, Terms & Conditions

By scheduling or booking a Remote Online Notarization (RON) appointment with MzNotaryMN, you agree to the following policies, terms, and conditions. Please read carefully before your session.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

No Deposit required using Notarize/Proof platform.
The final fee for service will be based on your uploaded documents to Hello@MzNotaryMN.com prior to RON session.
Fees will be paid at the end of RON session, upon successful payment, your documents will be released.
Accepted payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION (KBA)

All signers must complete Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) and Credential Analysis:

You'll be asked 5 questions based on public records. You must answer 4 out of 5 correctly.
Each signer has 2 attempts per 24-hour period.
A valid U.S. State ID or Passport and a Social Security number are required.
Credit freezes must be turned off before starting KBA.

❗️If KBA fails twice, the session will need to be rescheduled after 24 hours. Refunds (minus the deposit) may apply if you're unable to proceed.

DOCUMENT PREPARATION

Upload your documents securely to the Notarize-Proof platform before your session.
DO NOT SIGN your documents ahead of time—you'll electronically sign during the session.
Password-protected files cannot be notarized. Please remove any passwords before uploading.
You may email documents in advance to: MzLeigh@MzNtaryMN.com. (optional, at your own risk).

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Each signer must use their own device for signing.
Use headphones or sit apart if signing from the same room to avoid audio feedback.
Work-issued devices or networks (e.g., hospitals, military, government) may block video. Use a personal device instead.
Appointment times are automatically adjusted to your time zone.

❌ CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel using the link in your confirmation email.
All deposits and paid fees are non-refundable if you cancel.
No cancellations or reschedules within 1 hour of appointment time.
If MzNotaryMN must cancel due to technical issues or an emergency, a full refund will be issued.

BOOKING ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT?

If you are booking for someone else and want your business billed:

Let us know when booking.
We can set up a business account and invoice you for future appointments.
The first appointment must be prepaid by credit card.

MzNotaryMN E-Signing Consent Disclosure

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

By proceeding with this transaction, you are providing your consent to electronically sign the documents and acknowledging that you understand the following terms:

Electronic Signatures: You agree to use an electronic signature, which is legally binding, in place of your physical signature. Your consent to electronically sign means that you are voluntarily entering into this transaction and will be held to the same legal standards as a traditional, handwritten signature.
Document Review: You acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the documents being presented for signing and have done so thoroughly. If you have any questions or concerns about the documents, please ask the notary or seek legal advice before proceeding.
Consent to Proceed Electronically: You understand that by proceeding, you are providing your explicit consent to sign electronically. This includes consent for MzNotaryMN to use the Proof RON platform to facilitate and authenticate your signature.
Recordkeeping: You understand that copies of the signed documents will be stored electronically, and you will have access to these records for your reference. You may request a copy at any time.
Revocation of Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to proceed electronically before signing, by notifying the notary or canceling the transaction.

By agreeing and continuing with the transaction, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this disclosure.

You will check the confirm box before proceeding with the transaction through the Notarize/Proof platform.
