Remote Online Notarizations (RON)

RON/E-Notarization allows anyone the ability to have their important documents notarized online.

Remote Online Notarizations (RON) is a safe, quick, and convenient way to get many types of documents notarized. It also allows the notary and signer(s) to be in different places. 


**Note, not all documents may be allowed to be notarized remotely; this varies by state. 


MzNotaryMN will not notarize the following electronically:

  • Reverse Mortgage
  • Advanced Health Care Directives (Living Will)
  • Financial Power of Attorney (POA)
  • Wills
  • Living Trust


How Does Remote Online Notarization (RON) Work?

RON allows documents to be notarized in electronic form. The signer signs with an electronic signature and appears before a commissioned notary online via audio-video technology. This allows anyone with an internet connection to get documents signed and notarized.
